Usually, I try to limit the amount of time devoted to discussing the interview with the whore. It doesn't make sense to waste an entire review talking about something that has minimal impact and tells you nothing about the actual sex. (Which is all anyone cares about anyway.) However, this scene stalks a darker purpose. The interview takes center stage. It's the focal point and the clearest illustration of just how damned we all are. Where the wheels start to fall off is during the fucking, as Casey breaks through with bits of laughter. In doing so, she cracks the fourth wall, thereby ruining the fantasy that her degradation might have had any genuine effect. I'll tell you what though - there's no way to fake the trauma of rough sex like this. Once you've had your head forcefully smushed into someone's ass, it's life changing.
