You can feel the air starting to fall out of Tory's sails in this title. She put a lot into the last two releases, and this one doesn't quite have the same vibe to it. You can almost glance down the cast list and tell right from there. None of Tory's friends have gotten the call. Whether that was her decision or passed down from above, it doesn't help the picture at all. Tory strikes me as the type of girl who gets über excited about something but throws a fit if every detail doesn't go strictly to plan. Notice her conspicuous absence from the later scenes? She's over it by then. The ego stroke of being a contract whore proved to be more than she could handle. As a director, she blew her load in her first few titles - now Tory is simply on cruise control.

Apart from her superior physical attributes, Tory's ability to verbalize has always been one of her strong points. When she starts throwing out ridiculous phrases, it's fairly easy to tell whether things are going great or careening into the wall. This one has elements of both. At first, it seems like Tory and Otto are starting to get to that place where magic happens. Drehdon struggles to come along for the ride, but his presence isn't obtrusive in any way. Then signs start becoming more and more apparent that Tory isn't super-satisfied with his brand. She plays favorites, going to Otto almost like a safety blanket. It kills me to give fuckface credit for anything in his life, but he's the only factor that keeps this scene together. Tory tried to come out swinging but ended up hurting her ass in the opening round. "First chink in the armor, Ted."

If you believe the pre-game sexy talk, then this is Holly West's first ever anal scene. That's usually a mixed blessing for any director. On one hand, you get to plant the flag of discovery. On the other, a lack of experience has the potential for disaster. You can't expect to go hard - there is a break-in period. Also, the chance of catching any gapers is slim to none. Good for Holly, bad for video. The other thing to remember is that Tory doesn't have a lot of patience. When she sees the action going South, she'll scratch and claw to get it back on track.
